Acceptance
By creating an account or using the Nuxo Tax app you agree to these terms. Nuxo Tax is operated by Nuxo Tech Ltd (Companies House No. 17122508), registered in England and Wales.
Eligibility
You must be at least 16 years old to use Nuxo Tax. Nuxo Tax is designed for UK sole traders and self-employed individuals. By creating an account, you confirm that you meet these eligibility requirements.
What Nuxo Tax provides
Nuxo Tax provides AI-powered tax intelligence tools to help UK sole traders track income, expenses, and estimate tax. It is not a substitute for professional accounting or legal advice. Always consult a qualified accountant for complex tax matters.
HMRC accuracy
Nuxo Tax uses current HMRC rates and rules for the 2026/27 tax year. While we work hard to ensure accuracy, HMRC rules change and we cannot guarantee that every calculation is correct in every circumstance. You remain responsible for your own tax filings.
Subscriptions and payments
Nuxo Tax is offered as a paid subscription, managed through the Apple App Store or Google Play Store via RevenueCat. Subscription terms, pricing, and renewal cycles are disclosed at the point of purchase. Cancellations are handled through your App Store or Play Store account settings.
Your data
Your financial data belongs to you. See our Privacy Policy for full details of how we handle it. You can delete your account and all associated data at any time from within the app. We recommend exporting your records before deletion — HMRC requires sole traders to retain records for at least 5 years after the relevant tax year.
Intellectual property
Nuxo Tax, including its name, logo, UI, AI features, and all content, is owned by Nuxo Tech Ltd. You may not copy, reverse engineer, or redistribute any part of the app. The Nuxo name and logo are subject to trademark protection.
AI processing
We use third-party AI services (Groq Inc. and Google Cloud Vision) to provide intelligent features such as expense categorisation, tax suggestions, and receipt scanning. Transaction descriptions, amounts, and receipt images may be sent to these services for processing. Data is transmitted securely and is not used to train AI models.
By using Nuxo Tax's AI features you consent to this processing. You can choose not to use receipt scanning or Ask Nuxo if you prefer not to have data sent to these services.
Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use the app for any unlawful purpose or to evade legitimate tax obligations
- Attempt to gain unauthorised access to other accounts or our systems
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or extract the app's source code
- Use automated means to scrape, extract, or harvest data from the app
- Resell, sublicense, or redistribute access to the app
Termination
You can delete your account at any time from Settings → Delete Account. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms or engage in fraudulent activity, with notice where practical.
Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, Nuxo Tech Ltd is not liable for any financial loss arising from use of Nuxo Tax, including but not limited to incorrect tax calculations, missed deadlines, or HMRC penalties. Tax decisions are your responsibility. We provide tools and intelligence — not advice.
Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death, personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any other liability that cannot be excluded under UK law.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. Material changes will be notified by in-app notification or email. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
