The old way vs the Nuxo way.

Most sole traders leave hundreds on the table every year. It's not their fault — it's the tools.

Guessing what you can claim

Not knowing if your laptop or phone qualifies — so you just don't claim it.

Nuxo tells you what to claim

Every transaction tagged with its HMRC deductibility. No guessing.

End-of-year tax panic

Scrambling through receipts in January hoping the numbers add up.

Always tax-ready

Your books are live. Your tax estimate is real-time. January is just another month.

Paying 1% of your income to an accountant

Getting a return filed — but not the advice that would have saved you money.

AI that goes deep for a flat fee

Nuxo proactively surfaces insights — tells you what to do, not just what happened.

No idea what MTD means for you

Making Tax Digital is here. Most sole traders don't know what they need to do.

MTD ready from day one

Quarterly submissions, digital records — all handled automatically.

What Nuxo isn't

Not another bookkeeping app. Tax intelligence.

The tools for sole traders either record what happened, or charge 1% of your income to do it for you. Neither tells you what to do next.

01

Not bookkeeping

Bookkeeping tracks what happened. Nuxo tells you what it means — and what you should do about it.

02

Not a percentage

No 1% of income fee. A flat subscription that doesn't punish you for earning more.

03

Not a chatbot

A full app with receipts, invoices, MTD, dashboards — and an AI that actually knows HMRC.

Questions

What you're probably wondering.

Is my financial data actually safe?
Yes. Your data is stored in Firebase's eur3 region (EU), encrypted in transit and at rest. We're registered with the UK's Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) as a data controller. Your information is never sold, never shared with advertisers, and never used to train third-party AI models. You can export or delete everything at any time.
How accurate is the AI? What if it gets something wrong?
Nuxo's tax logic is built on HMRC's published rules for 2026/27, not inferred from a general-purpose AI. The AI helps you log expenses and answer questions — but the tax calculations themselves are deterministic. Every deduction is flagged with its source and confidence level. Nuxo is not a replacement for a qualified accountant for complex situations, and we're transparent about that.
What will it cost?
Pricing isn't finalised, but Nuxo will be a flat monthly subscription — not a percentage of your income. Waitlist members get early-access pricing locked in for the lifetime of their subscription. No surprise price hikes.
Who's actually behind Nuxo?
Nuxo is built by Nuxo Tech Ltd, an independent London studio (Companies House No. 17122508). It's currently a solo founder operation — I started it after watching my wife fight her own spreadsheet every January. Read the full story →
How is this different from hiring an accountant?
An accountant files your return once a year. Nuxo gives you a live picture all year long — what you'll owe, what you could claim, what's missing. For most sole traders, Nuxo replaces the spreadsheet and the receipts-in-a-drawer system, and makes your accountant's job faster (and their bill lower). You can export everything they need in one tap.
I earn over £50k — does Nuxo handle Making Tax Digital?
Yes. MTD for Income Tax becomes mandatory in April 2026 for sole traders earning over £50,000. Nuxo is built MTD-ready from day one — quarterly breakdowns, digital records, SA103 format exports, all automatic. When the £30k threshold kicks in from April 2027, you'll already be covered.
Can I export my data for my accountant?
Yes — CSV and PDF exports for any date range, with full transaction details, HMRC category tags, mileage logs, and home office claims. One tap and it's in their inbox.
What if I don't have receipts for everything?
HMRC accepts bank statement entries as proof for most non-capital expenses. Nuxo flags which transactions need a receipt (generally capital items and expenses over £25), and which are fine without. Import a bank statement screenshot and Nuxo handles the rest.
When exactly does Nuxo launch?
