Who we are
Toddle is a family city trip planning app operated by Nuxo Tech Ltd (Companies House No. 17122508). We are the data controller for personal data collected through the Toddle app and nuxo.co.uk/toddle.
We are registered with the UK Information Commissioner's Office — ICO Registration: ZC121202.
Age restriction
Toddle is intended for use by adults (18+) planning family trips. You must be at least 18 years old to create an account. Children do not use Toddle directly — the app is operated by parents or guardians on behalf of their family.
Data we collect
- Account information — name, email address
- Children's ages — to personalise itineraries (ages only — no names, photos, or other personal details of children are collected)
- Location — to find nearby playgrounds and restaurants (only when the app is in use, never stored beyond your active session)
- Trip preferences — city, dates, interests
- Usage data — anonymised analytics to improve recommendations
Children's data
Toddle collects only children's ages (not names, photos, or identifying information) to personalise itineraries. We do not create profiles for children. We never share children's age data with third parties. Under UK GDPR, this limited, non-identifying data does not constitute personal data about the child.
Legal basis for processing
- Contract performance (Article 6(1)(b)) — to provide itineraries, maps, and recommendations
- Legitimate interests (Article 6(1)(f)) — to improve the service through anonymised analytics
- Consent (Article 6(1)(a)) — for location access, marketing emails, and push notifications
Location data
Location is used only to find nearby playgrounds, restaurants, and attractions. It is never stored beyond your active session and never shared with advertisers or third parties. You can revoke location permission at any time from your device settings.
Third parties
- Google Firebase — authentication, database, storage (EU region)
- Mapping providers — to display venues and routes (location data only, no identifiers)
We never sell your data.
Data retention
We retain your personal data for as long as your account is active. Upon account deletion, all personal data is removed from our live systems within 30 days (accounting for backup rotations). Anonymised usage data may be retained for service improvement.
Your rights under UK GDPR
You have the right to access, rectify, erase, or export your data, and to withdraw consent at any time. Delete your account from within the app or email hello@nuxo.co.uk. We respond within 30 days.
You can lodge a complaint with the ICO at ico.org.uk.
Data breach procedure
In the event of a personal data breach, we will notify the ICO within 72 hours as required by UK GDPR Article 33, and notify affected users directly without undue delay where the breach is likely to result in a high risk to your rights.
