Who we are
Trackr is a UK fuel and grocery price tracking app operated by Nuxo Tech Ltd (Companies House No. 17122508). We are registered with the UK Information Commissioner's Office — ICO Registration: ZC121202.
Trackr is designed to be as privacy-friendly as possible — we collect the minimum data needed to provide the service.
Age restriction
Trackr is not intended for users under 16. You must be at least 16 years old to use this app.
Data we collect
- Location — to find nearby fuel stations and supermarkets (only when the app is in use, never stored on our servers)
- Shopping list items — stored locally on your device only
- Price alert preferences — stored locally on your device
- Anonymous usage data — to improve app performance
What we don't collect
- No account required — Trackr works without signing up
- No personal identifiers stored on our servers
- No purchase history
- No advertising tracking
Legal basis for processing
- Legitimate interests (Article 6(1)(f)) — to provide location-based fuel and grocery price comparisons
- Consent (Article 6(1)(a)) — for location access and push notifications (price alerts)
Data sources
Fuel prices are sourced from the official UK Government Fuel Finder API. Grocery prices are sourced from publicly available supermarket data. No personal shopping data is collected from any retailer.
Data retention
Because Trackr stores nearly all data locally on your device, there is very little server-side retention. Anonymous usage data is retained for up to 12 months to help us improve the service. If you use price alerts (which require a push token), that token is deleted when you disable alerts or uninstall the app.
Your rights under UK GDPR
Because Trackr is designed not to collect personal data, there is typically nothing for us to delete or export. If you've enabled price alerts and want the associated token removed, email hello@nuxo.co.uk. You can lodge a complaint with the ICO at ico.org.uk.
Data breach procedure
In the unlikely event of a personal data breach, we will notify the ICO within 72 hours as required by UK GDPR Article 33, and notify affected users directly without undue delay where the breach is likely to result in a high risk to your rights.
